A dental implant replaces the whole tooth, root included. A titanium post takes the place of the root, and a custom crown, bridge, or denture goes on top. The result looks, feels, and functions like a real tooth, and with proper care it is built to last a lifetime.

The post is placed under local anesthetic, with sedation available. It then needs a healing period to fuse with the bone.

Common questions
Am I a candidate for dental implants?

How long does the whole process take?
Typically 3 to 6 months from placement to the final crown, because the implant needs time to fuse with the jawbone before the finished tooth goes on. Same-day options may be available in some cases, and we will tell you at your consultation whether yours is one of them.
Does getting an implant hurt?
We use local anesthesia and offer sedation options, and most patients tell us the placement was more comfortable than a tooth extraction. If dental work makes you anxious, say so when you book and we will plan your comfort into the appointment.
How long do implants last?
With proper care they are designed to last a lifetime. That means brushing, flossing, and keeping up with regular checkups, the same as you would for a natural tooth.
Will anyone be able to tell?
